A criminal mastermind and a criminal girl form an alliance to repatriate a mummy.
and…
A truck driver and a stuffy general get together to sell a mummy. The plot is brought to a conclusion by an attack.
An attractive nun has 24 hours to organise a musical. The plot is commenced by an attack.
Okay, sorry, I was looking at the writer’s Plot Idea Generator again after all the reading about loglines. It does tend to blurt out correct loglines, just not very good ones.
A disorganised junkie unravels a chain of unforseeable events.
A magical school teacher has a day to find an antidote to a deadly virus.
Ooooh, Miss Frizzle, is this another field trip? No, children, it’s time to get an antidote!
I wonder if the same thing could be constructed for sci fi… using lists rather like the random trait generator? I think it could be done. There’s only, what, 8 different sci fi stories?
Oh, and this one:
When a young girl gets pregnant, a ship full of pirates capture a chocolate factory.
I love the pregnant girl, the pirates and the chocolate factory. Perhaps it was Willy Wonka what got her in the family way, or was that Willy’s Wonka, or Wonka’s Willy?

They are amusing, and I posted some of the more zany ones IMO. The pregnant girl juxtaposed with pirates… hmmm. Yes, well. Right, then.

I actually like this one: A disorganised junkie unravels a chain of unforseeable events. It have some sci-fi/fantasy possibilities – time travel on drugs?

That one’s tough. The junkie won’t be believed. “You gotta believe me, man, the moon is going to crash.” “You’re high, again, Baldrick.”

Thank you for leading me to a place where I can waste even more time… I found one for Sci-fi. It’s a bit like ad libs.

I am your anti-thesis. I’m the B plot in your “Write a novel” screenplay.
Don’t tease… what’s the link?

I ended up with ‘Galactic Slow Pistol Wars’ on the first go.

The reviews are funny. “”I fell in love with the cute Alex Smith. Last night I dreamed that he was in my teapot.”
Otherwise, it’s terrible! Too much detail, just want one line about what it’s about.

Yeah, too much detail and it just recycles the same bit of text with the new mix of words. There must be a better one – let the google searching commence.

Perhaps we should stick to the old-fashioned make-it-up method? Besides which, sci fi plots aren’t that much different from other plots, just throw in aliens and space ships and voila. The FUture is here!
